Heavy Equipment Operator

9 weeks

 

In this full 9 week program, students receive compulsory/core training in first aid, introduction to heavy equipment operation, introduction to the knowledge and use of heavy equipment, introduction to equipment systems, preventative maintenance procedures, interpreatation of construction surveys, and air brake systems. This program also includes 100 hours of training in one piece of heavy equipment.

 

To apply, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 - 30 years of age
  • Class 5 License
  • Drivers Abstract
  • Mine Training Society Client Assessment Form
  • Mine Training Society Self Declaration Form
  • Career Action Plan
  • Aurora College Application form
  • Updated Resume
  • Letter of Interest
